Cultural Olympiad Individual Evaluation

Individual Evaluation
I worked with Becky Pinhorne, and I think we worked well together on the Cultural Olympiad assignment. We both split the workload, for example, I created a few posters and creative images that we could use for the Cultural Olympiad and so did Becky. I created parts of the written work such as the Media plan, Target Audience and the SWOT analysis.
We worked on the Creative Solutions together and we gave each other constructive criticism and feedback on each bit of work that we completed and/or while it was being created.
We used Illustrator the most during the creative process, Word for the writing and brief work and Inspiration for the Creative Solutions mind map.
We set ourselves targets each week to complete at least 1 bit of work each, and we completed the targets each week.
The challenge was that we had to do a lot of research because the Cultural Olympiad was unknown to Becky and I. Then we found that hardly anyone knows anything about the Cultural Olympiad so researching it was difficult. We eventually gathered enough information on it to begin working.
The main achievement was the work being completed, to a standard that Becky and I are happy with. Personally, I think the creative work was the main achievement, actually being able to Create products that get the point of what the Cultural Olympiad is, even though it is relatively unknown, across in a fun and visual way.
I enjoyed the Creative work in this assignment, however I didn’t like the product we had to sell as I think research took up a lot of time, that could have been spent actually doing the assignment. It was a product that was non-existent, even though it had been running for 4 years. The challenge was trying to make it something that people would want to go to and make it look like a good event.
